2017 Green Dealer Program

Committed to making sure we do our part to help our environment, General Motors has recently given us the Green Dealer Recognition Award for our initiatives in energy reduction, renewable energy, water conservation, waste-to-landfill reduction, and community outreach programs. Not an easy achievement, Greenwood Chevrolet in Youngstown, OH is extremely proud to have been awarded this prestigious honor. "GM has long been committed to being a leader in environmental stewardship, and we're proud that our dealers share this commitment to serve and improve the communities where we work and live," said Kurt McNeil, GM vice president of U.S. Sales Operations.

How does this help the environment?

By reducing our waste output and making a few simple changes, GM has been able avoid 388,000 metric tons of carbon emission, saving $73 million in energy costs, and Greenwood Chevy is proud to have played no small part in that achievement.

How many dealerships have been certified?

One of 85 dealerships to have qualified for the GM Green Dealership Award, the team at Greenwood Chevy couldn’t be happier or more proud that we are among the Chevrolet dealerships in the United States on this elite list.

How does a dealership qualify?
